iron and wine and a migraine

In the zone today, as I paint for the Northminster Show (next Saturday!).  Iron and Wine and a migraine are making me mellow, but the paint is flowing and I am happy to be able to work in the studio today.
Here is a peek at some things for next week's show.  All in various stages of unfinished, but at least some bright colors for a snowy gray day.

Northminster Fine Arts Fair

I love this show.  Lots of great artists, food, atmosphere, fairtrade shop .  The people who volunteer to make this happen are gracious and generous.  I was treated like a queen upon arrival.  A new experience for a lowly artist.   Come out and support this fair and buy some art for the loved ones in your life!

A Wave

I'm illustrating a children's book written by a friend and fellow therapist  (a child psychologist).

It's a wonderful story and I'm excited to be a part of it.  Here is a preview.....more details to follow!

NEW YEAR SHOWS

Happy New Year everyone!  I'm excited to return for a second year to the

Northminster Art Show coming up on SATURDAY, FEB 2, 2013 from 10-4.

It is not "your average church show"....in fact, most of the artists around me last year, were Hyde Park Art Show regulars,  many of them from across the country.  The show is very well run and the quality of the art is exceptional, not to mention the delicious lunch that they manage to offer.

This year, I'll have hand-painted mirrors, small framed paintings, and panel paintings for sale.

More details to come, but mark your calendars.  I'd love to see you in the "bleak mid-winter" at this warm and wonderful show.
