College Hill Spring Fling

I'll be at the College Hill Spring Fling on Saturday May 11.13 from 10-4.

Location; behind Schwartz Jewelers, Bacalls Cafe and College Hill Coffee Co. , Silk Road Textiles and Marty's Hops and Vines.  Plenty of local artists (good stuff!) , drinks and eats available.  Come out and say hi and buy something to say Happy Mothers Day to your mama (the following day!)

On being Judged

Here is a piece I am submitting tomorrow morning for the "pre-judging" of the Hyde Park Art Show.
A great, popular outdoor show coming up in October. Lots of competition but worth a try.   Twas a fun piece to make....pages of an old bible, math tables, rice paper and yes, I put a bird on it.  I love birds.  I love this bird.  More to come.

Thanks to all of you who braved the snow to come out to the Northminster Show.  After a quiet, snowy morning the afternoon was filled with old and new friends, good conversations about art , and plenty of encouraging sales.    I appreciate every one of you and your support.

In the zone today, as I paint for the Northminster Show (next Saturday!).  Iron and Wine and a migraine are making me mellow, but the paint is flowing and I am happy to be able to work in the studio today.

 Here is a peek at some things for next week's show.  All in various stages of unfinished, but at least some bright colors for a snowy gray day.
